Five months ago, my collection of scenes from Russian and East European musicals was restored to my website, having been unavailable for four years. I am now pleased to say that my collection of scenes from the series ‘Flight over Spain’ has been restored and can be seen here. This was featured in my first blog and has not been shown on British television since 1989. It has the advantage over the Russian collection of being more than twenty times as long. They are both part of a collection that lasts for over eighty hours and that I hope one day will be enjoyed by a large number of people. The picture size should be set to 4:3.

‘Flight over Spain’ is the best travel series that I have ever seen, but I can’t help wondering whether similar programmes have been made about countries like Italy and Greece that I don’t know about because they have never been shown on British television.

I now find it very difficult to do creative writing, but I have no difficulty in adding to my collection of scenes from television, and this has become my main occupation. Among the latest additions are fifty scenes from the series ‘Civilisation’ by Kenneth Clark, which was made in 1969 and which I have not seen since.
