I have always hoped that one day I would be able to share the collection of my favourite scenes from television with other people. It occurs to me that I might be able to achieve this by announcing that three of my favourite television programmes will be broadcast today on BBC4 between 7.00 pm and 7.55 pm and between 10.15 pm and midnight.
For some time, I have been looking forward to going up Gowbarrow Fell today with Chris and Priscilla Butterfield, but this morning, I was disappointed to learn that they won’t be able to make it. If I had been walking on Gowbarrow Fell, I should certainly never have thought of submitting this blog, which goes to show that every cloud has a silver lining.
